Well-known value investor Chuck Akre of Akre Capital Management was on Bloomberg to discuss his views about the market and his investment strategy. -- This market is sideways and confusing -- He is looking for a pullback to buy some of the stocks he has his eyes on. Not buying currently due to the recent run in the markets. -- Does not believe in economic cycle-driven sector investing but likes investing driven by individual business analysis. -- Book value is very important metric he looks at in the business he is evaluating, specifically for the insurance companies. -- Looks at businesses that have been consistently increasing their net worth.
