In El-Erian's opinion: - Assuming we avoid the fiscal cliff he expects continued sluggish growth. - Policy support will be critical to continued economic healing. - If there is a big surprise in 2013 it would be policy makers finally getting together and doing something constructive to permanently help the economy. - If there is a negative surprise in 2013 it could be geopolitical risk out of the Middle East.
