Press Release: Middleburg Financial Corporation Completes Common Stock Offering

MIDDLEBURG, Va., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Middleburg Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: MBRG) (the "Company") announced today that it has completed the public offering of its common stock previously announced on July 27, 2009. In the offering, for which Scott & Stringfellow, LLC was the sole underwriter, the Company issued 1,700,000 shares of its common stock on July 31, 2009 at a price of $10.75 per share for gross proceeds of approximately $18.3 million. As the result of the underwriter\'s full exercise of its option to purchase additional shares, the Company issued an additional 208,598 shares on August 10, 2009 at a price of $10.75 per share for additional gross proceeds of approximately $2.2 million.
