catalyst for the realization of underlying value?

Where can i get more material for reading on how to identify - "catalyst for the realization of underlying value" once i have identified safe and cheap value stock?
Both Pabrai and Klarman seem to emphasize having a catalyst. But i cannot figure how and what they see as catalyst?

If it does have a catalyst, it is known information. Wouldn't be the information factored in the trading price already?
Although we believe that market is inefficient, but it is quite efficient with some information.
