I've got a draft of a logo for my new blog, where I plan to continue to post occasionally about obscure stocks no one else cares about. Would be grateful if you guys took a look at the logo and shared your feedback. Thanks.

Now that you have a web-site dedicated to short selling it makes everything you say on GuruFocus and The Hackensack (Shadow Stocks) subject to a conflict of interest concern. If you ever turn bullish it would detract from people's need to read your 'short selling' comments or to want to subscribe to your service. [www.BeatingBuffett.com]

Paul,
I remain bullish on certain companies (e.g., AYSI, USEG, etc.), that I've mentioned here and on my blog before (do you only read my political posts?). I'm not bearish on all stocks. In my personal portfolio, I am long some stocks, short some stocks, and have some hedges. I am not a perma bear, but I don't want to be caught swimming naked next time the tide rolls out either. My current blog offers no financial advice. Neither will Shadow Stocks. I post occasionally about my investments, when the spirit moves me. I have posted both about long positions (e.g., AYSI and USEG) and short positions (KITD and BAGL) on my blog. More generally, very few investors are short-only. I certainly am not. I see Shortscreen as a resource for investors who, like me, prefer to include short positions as well as long positions in their portfolios. I appreciate your concern about potential conflicts of interest, but I've spent good money consulting with an attorney on this, and he has not raised any conflict of interest issue. Paul- if you're so concerned about "conflict of interest" why do you continue to post anti-health care articles written by INSURANCE INDUSTRY LOBBYISTS? Follow the money these people are paid to write articles taking down health care. This is the definition of "conflict of interest" Just ATTEMPT to be consistent in your thought.

I like the design concept. Perhaps make the image larger. I also did not know what animal it was......I thought perhaps a pig.....:-)

Heh, Funny thing about the pig comment: an early version of the bear for Shortscreen looked a little like a pig too. I found a great photo of a bear on the hunt in Alaska though online, and gave it to the designer to model the current shortscreen logo, which I really like. Tkervin and Sivaram, would you guys mind copying and pasting your comments in the comment thread on my blog? That way, I can tell my design agency to look in one place to see all the feedback. Thanks a lot. My blog: [www.thehackensack.blogspot.com] My company's new site, which features tools and ideas for short sellers: [shortscreen.com]
