Its a little out of date with the information as its old, but here is some detail on the production at the Marlim field offshore Brazil in the Campos Basin, which has been ongoing for years now. The Campos Basin is the analogue for Loligo/Nimrod/Vinson etc.. - with the targets at Loligo/Nimrod/Vinson all expected to have oil in the 18API to 25API range (production at the offshore Marlim field is 17API to 22API) [www.offshore-technology.com] .

Rig has arrived safely and is now east of the Falklands Islands in Falklands waters, in the Berkeley Sound. [www.marinetraffic.com] So spudding of BOR's first well is now due very soon. Should BOR strike the impact on both BOR and FOGL will be immense (more so to BOR but in no small way to FOGL as well at this stage given their market cap is half of BOR at the moment).

The more big names getting involved the better for all Falklands companies. My guess is they are looking into the situation ahead of the southern drills, using RKH's show as an excuse to take a look at the whole set up there, for the southern drills are big enough to warrant a big name getting involved, if the SFB drills by BOR and FOGL strike oil.

[www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk] ............Falkland Oil and Gas (LON:FOGL) also emerged among the most actively discussed companies on bulletin boards. Investors were focused on the upcoming drilling campaign by fellow Falklands operating firm Borders & Southern (LON:BOR), which will target the Darwin prospect. Darwin is similar to several prospects owned by FOGL including Inflexible and Thulla. Should the first well targeting Darwin be a success, it will significantly de-risk FOGL’s prospects ahead of its drilling programme, which will kick off once the Leiv Eiriksson rig is released by Borders & Southern.............
