81 Top-Yield Stocks with Ex-Dividend Date December 2012

High-yield investing is popular especially just before the next dividend payout. In order to receive the next dividend, investors must take a look at the ex-dividend date. If you own a share or fund before this day, you will receive the next dividend. I screened interesting high-yielding stocks going ex-dividend within the next month – December 2012. As result, we found 81 stocks with an average dividend yield of 6.51 percent. Twelve stocks have a double-digit yield and forty a buy or better recommendation.

Below the results are 51 stocks with a market capitalization under USD2 billion. They definitely have a higher risk. My favorites have a much higher capitalization.

Here are my favorite stocks:

Seadrill (SDRL) has a market capitalization of $18.15 billion. The company employs 7,600 people, generates revenue of $4.192 billion and has a net income of $1.482 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $2.337 billion. The EBITDA margin is 55.75 percent (the operating margin is 42.32 percent and the net profit margin 35.35 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 56.97 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 174.47 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 24.63 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $2.23. Last fiscal year, the company paid $3.06 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 17.34, the P/S ratio is 4.25 and the P/B ratio is finally 3.00. The dividend yield amounts to 8.86 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 1.97.

World Wrestling (WWE) has a market capitalization of $603.26 million. The company employs 585 people, generates revenue of $483.92 million and has a net income of $24.83 million. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $51.54 million. The EBITDA margin is 10.65 percent (the operating margin is 7.65 percent and the net profit margin 5.13 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 0.43 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 0.55 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 8.12 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $0.30. Last fiscal year, the company paid $0.72 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 27.32, the P/S ratio is 1.25 and the P/B ratio is finally 2.04. The dividend yield amounts to 5.94 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.65.

PPL Corporation (PPL) has a market capitalization of $16.89 billion. The company employs 17,722 people, generates revenue of $12.737 billion and has a net income of $1.510 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $4.309 billion. The EBITDA margin is 33.83 percent (the operating margin is 24.30 percent and the net profit margin 11.86 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 43.54 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 171.51 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 15.62 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $2.79. Last fiscal year, the company paid $1.40 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 10.41, the P/S ratio is 1.32 and the P/B ratio is finally 1.55. The dividend yield amounts to 4.98 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.39.
