My 3 Favorite Safe-Haven Technology Stocks

Today I continue with my monthly screen theme: “Stocks with a lower volatility than the market.” The technology sector is now subject of my analysis. In total, there are 859 stocks listed — one of the biggest sectors on the market.

Linked is a sheet of the 20 best yielding technology dividend stocks with a market capitalization over USD10 billion as well as a beta ratio below one.

Three of the results are high-yields and 11 are recommended to buy. Telecom services as well as wireless communication stocks are major contributors to the results. They have some great characteristics in term of safeness buy they are also higher leveraged with debt.

Here are my favorite stocks:

Verizon Communications (VZ) has a market capitalization of $140.06 billion. The company employs 183,400 people, generates revenue of $115.846 billion and has a net income of $10.557 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $29.620 billion. The EBITDA margin is 25.57 percent (the operating margin is 11.36 percent and the net profit margin 9.11 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 23.08 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 156.79 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 2.53 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $0.31. Last fiscal year, the company paid $2.03 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 158.25, the P/S ratio is 1.23 and the P/B ratio is finally 4.22. The dividend yield amounts to 4.20 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.46.

Automatic Data Processing (ADP) has a market capitalization of $31.43 billion. The company employs 57,000 people, generates revenue of $10.665 billion and has a net income of $1.388 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $2.343 billion. The EBITDA margin is 21.97 percent (the operating margin is 19.90 percent and the net profit margin 13.02 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 0.05 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 0.27 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 22.90 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $2.79. Last fiscal year, the company paid $1.55 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 23.24, the P/S ratio is 2.94 and the P/B ratio is finally 5.13. The dividend yield amounts to 2.69 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.67.

Accenture (ACN) has a market capitalization of $52.38 billion. The company employs 257,000 people, generates revenue of $29.777 billion and has a net income of $2.824 billion. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $4.465 billion. The EBITDA margin is 14.99 percent (the operating margin is 13.00 percent and the net profit margin 9.49 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 0.00 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 0.00 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 63.64 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $3.93. Last fiscal year, the company paid $1.35 in the form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 19.47, the P/S ratio is 1.79 and the P/B ratio is finally 12.50. The dividend yield amounts to 2.11 percent and the beta ratio has a value of 0.87.

Take a closer look at the full list of 20 technology dividend stocks, safer than the market. The average P/E ratio amounts to 17.81 and forward P/E ratio is 14.61. The dividend yield has a value of 4.07 percent. Price to book ratio is 2.86 and price to sales ratio 2.21. The operating margin amounts to 16.65 percent and the beta ratio is 0.71. Stocks from the list have an average debt to equity ratio of 0.76.
