Guru Index is the Net Asset Value (NAV) per share of Guru Index Fund. Guru Index Fund is a virtual fund incepted on June 19, 2005. It started with a hypothetical $100,000. Guru Index Fund is composed of up to 25 stocks with the highest ValueRank. The minimum ValueRank required to stay in the Guru Index Fund is 7.

If there are not enough stocks that have the ValueRank of 7 or above, money stays in CASH. Sometimes CASH is the best investment.

Guru Index stocks are updated at the end of each quarter. Top ranked stocks are used to replace the lowered ranked stocks.

The amount for each stock to be added into the Guru Index Fund is always round 4% of the total portfolio. Guru Index Fund has 1,000 shares. The starting Net Asset Value (NAV) for each share is $100. All the capital gains are reinvested. Dividends are not counted in the Guru Index calculation.
