Gurufocus,
remember, warren buffett has position en GE,BAC, a very big position but, those are not the prefer bussiness of warren buffett, he has very good thinks about those bussiness, but bank of america is not better than wells fargo and general electric is not better than PG OR JNJ, because GE can pas the time and warren buffett does not about GE then of 10 years because you dont know how can you clean your clothes past 10 years then.

"Why does the preferred shares owned by Berkshire not show; BAC, GE, DOW? They are large positions in the top 5."

Because Berkshire does not report them."

Dear Gurufocus,

Berkshire Hathaway's second quarter 10-Q seems to report the preferred shares and warrents. The preferred shares and warrents are listed under Note 6 Other Investments of the Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements (page 9). I am not sure if you would be able to use this information to report on the preferred shares and warrents, since they are significant positions.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Berkshire owns way over a billion dollars of stock in Tesco that you don't list at all. Why?

The same reason Geico doesn't trade publicly, BNI is no longer a publicly traded stock, it has been fully absorbed and is a subsidiary of Berkshire

BYD does not trade on a US exchange. I believe that the data here derives from 13-F filings and does not include foreign listed securities.

Question: I thought Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway portfolio also holds Symetra Financial Corporation (SYA)? I do not see it listed herein, but I thought he owned over 15%. Is his position a 'private-placed' class of stock?

I noticed that Warren's Current-portfolio-chart sorts the percent equity holdings according to the first digit instead of the value. So USB ranks higher at 2.5% than KO at 19% because the first digit is greater.
