There is a whole new table for the screener that kept track of how many gurus bought each stock in the past 7 days, 14 days, etc. It should be run daily. It seems like it hasn't been run in a while. It might be running monthly from tinkering with the screener. The reason for this new table is that the data needed to be precalculated because getting the data at run time would have been horribly slow.
I noticed simple screens for 1+ gurus that bought in the last 14 days is not working. I also don't think the FCF based DCF calcs are running.
You hit the nail on the proverbial head.
All these whiners on AAPL, yelling at them to do something to get the stock up so THEY can get out! The best one was a dope on CNBC telling AAPL to do a 1x Buy Back at 575$ with their cash when the stock was tanking below 500!
Sir, your article was fabulous.
We checked the submissions. He wrote it earlier than you did by about two weeks...
Charlie.
Just noticed this:
http://www.gurufocus.com/news/205700/february-value-idea-contest-opens-the-first-1000-award-announcement
Then realized it mentioend a different RIMM value investing contest article that got the $1000 reward.
I thought I qualified for the $1000 for my article also?
Not sure what het share price was when I wrote it. Can you provide feedback?
Thanks,
Karl
By the way, hope you to write some articles.
Also please take a look at the second version
I want to writ a RIMM article. It's a tough one though. People are so blind to what is occurring that I know it would be a 2/5 star article.
I want to collect my thoughts so maybe I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Edit
A better investment without the risks in HRB is KC based Novastar Financial NOVS which owns three business units -- Tech Enabled Vendor Mgt Co.
Adventtax.com founded by x CEO of HRBlock Mark Ernst, and his right hand man John Thompson. They have a replacement solution for RAL which as you have point out is big biz.
Streetlinks.com a leading provider of AMC residential appraisals and lender risk adj solutions.
Mango Moving a KC based AssetLess 3PLogistics company that was just acquired but will pickup tremendous energy from SL which pickup control of Corvisa.
NOVS owns a $324M Deferred Tax Asset that will shield future taxable income from taxes. Given a 35% corp tax rate EPS will be far more accretive to Book Value then HRB.
All in I give it including dta a 42 cent EPS in 2012 and believe 15 PE is Fair so you can buy a 6 stock for 45 cents today. Other investors include Babson Capital, Mass Mutual, Jefferies, and RAS, Fortress and FBR restructure their debt down to 1% carry for 5 yrs. Now that is a head start and why insiders are buying hand over fist.
