Ning Jia: Hi Vishal, thanks for the nice words. Here is the website I use to get a list of the upcoming spinoffs.

    Thanks Ning.

In case it helps, you can also search for the forms 10-12b on SEC website

I have also set up google alerts to send news related to spinoffs in my inbox.

    jianing7978: Hi, tede,

My main thesis is really the stabilization and gradual improvement in both margin and sales as the new shops start operating and as Mike U
I agree.  I think the holiday season will decide the fate of the company.  If sales don't rebound, they are simply going to run out liquidity.

However, my own experience with Penney's suggests that's the chance of the consumer just abandoning them even with the coupon strategy reinstated seems very small.  I live in the Minneapolis area.  The last two weeks I've gone to several JCP's, Macy's and Kohl's.  This is pretty unscientific, but I was hard pressed to notice a substantial difference in store traffic.

The one thing I would like more info on is how much more cash does the company plan on spending for remodels?  Are the remodels almost done?  I hope they are close because this has contributed to a sizeable cash drain over the past year.  If this is winding down, and the consumers come back for the holiday season, I think the company should be able to turn things around.  If not, the numbers will tell.

Curious to know what your thesis is on JCP?  It seems to me the bottom line is they have to get people back into the stores to stabilize revenue.  My bet is with the return of the coupon strategy, consumers will come back.  The few JCP's that I've visited around the Minneapolis area over the past several weeks seem just as busy as their competition (Macy's and Kohls).

jianing7978: I've had a few days like this for JCP. I think the thesis still holds so I'm not selling. In fact, I've added 20% on my position today. ZINK is at 52
Agree with you on Zinc, I've been tracking it since 11.80 something we
but it has not corrected for me to buy.Now its at 13.50 we cannot
time the market or enter at the right price, think we can just buy
little and add if and when it corrects... I've lost money on JCP
so I'll stay away from this for now, though it keeps enticing me.
waiting for cash to buy Zinc now.

jianing7978: Hey Arjun, I took a look at ZINC, the article makes sense, I just had some concern over the use of EBITDA b/c for ZINC, especially with the financing
Hi Ning, Good to know you are thinking of initiating a position. Agree with you on the ITDA but they did say that they had already put out the money for financing of the new plant. I'm waiting for some correction to get in.Looks like it did not correct in todays correction either, Also I got few FSGI just to track. before I build conviction in it..Looks like JCP had a big crash today. With walmart cutting new orders due to raising inventories wonder how it will impact JCP..
