    Gday Steve

    >I also subscribe to his Skaffold valuation system which I think is only OK. It is not that easy to get around the site and I think that MyClime is a lot easier.

Thanks for the info, I was just about to subscribe to Skaffold this month and will hold off for a bit. A decade ago I  had another Montgomery product, Sherpa. It was not too bad but I never got around to renewing. Stockdoctor was another Aussie product I once had. Again, not too bad despite a few limitations. I'm also a  longtime subscriber of TC2000/Telecharts. Its pretty good for the price, but is very U.S centred and poor on fundamentals.

    >I suppose that mining boom is over if you are worried about the next 12 months

Totally in cash these days.  Hoping to short a few overpriced stocks. These days I'm mainly chasing property, both in the US and Japan. Mostly foreclosed and bank owned stuff.

    >.if you are ever in Tokyo let me know and we could catch up for a coffee.

Would love to. But aren't you in Sapporo?

    >BTW what are you doing in Nara?

Basically, most days I'm waiting for the missus to come home ;  she is a workaholic and totally devoted to her patients.
The rest of the time is spent reading and trying not to be bored.

Anyhow Steve, safe investing. Best of luck to you.

newhigh: Gday Steve. Its terribly hot here in Nara and I'm planning to escape the heat in Nagano for a few days. Here's an interesting ABC TV clib from Roger M
    Hi

Yes Tokyo is probably not much better than Nara. I follow Roger M and I have noticed that he is starting to blog and comment on macro issues a lot more. I also subscribe to his Skaffold valuation system which I think is only OK. It is not that easy to get around the site and I think that MyClime is a lot easier.

I suppose that mining boom is over if you are worried about the next 12 months but I think it has a long way to run over the longer term. I suspect many people are going to be surprised by how supply of the less common metals, like rare earths and other precious metals will be. It seems that everyone just thinks about iron ore but if you look at the forecasts for nickel, copper and others then there is looming shortages. Once the world economy picks up, I think you will see prices rise and quiet quickly. Anyway that's enough of a rant......if you are ever in Tokyo let me know and we could catch up for a coffee. BTW what are you doing in Nara?
    regards
    Steve

Yes, very interested. These days I totally ignore Chinese companies. A bit of a shame really, surely there must be some honest ones around
  • beltrancaceres 2012-07-22 07:38
You still interested in my chinese fraud list? Sorry read your note quite late

Not Tokyo. I spend my time between a sheepless sheep station in Western Aust, Nara Japan with the missues and a modest home in BH in California.

    Newhigh,

    Are you in Tokyo?
