manolosalceda : Have you checked LPHI? It looks like a good opportunity. What do you think? Just letting you know LPHI will be a hard one for me to evaluate. It's trading above book so it's the earning power that matter here. So you'd have to look at how you feel about the life settlement business which hasn't been around very long and is not liked by everyone. It's a lot like evaluating a for profit university or something. There are a lot of allegations against the industry and the industr ...

manolosalceda : I've checked BDMS. I like the company and its business model but I don't like the current share price. I think a fair price will be around 14 per shar I think given the amount of free cash flow and how they use it - to buyback stock and pay dividends - I'd say long-term you can expect about a 10% return in the stock from around $20 a share. The company has liabilities, but they are very good at returning cash. I see how you could get a $14 fair price. At $14 a share, I'd expe ...

I think it's odd, because I recognized the names of the stocks. They are smaller stocks than most people invest in. And they're higher quality and more dependable. That's unusual. People usually go for either the MSFTs of the world - high quality big cap - or speculative small cap. BDMS and RSKIA are two favorites of mine that I think fall in the same sort of category as the stocks you seem to like. Most people don't look for high return on capital, high free cash flow, dividend paying type comp ...
