This is the Q4 portfolio update of Dan Yacktman. Mr. Yacktman has seen his asset under managed ballooned to $7 billion in the last two years, driven by his long term performance. As of 12/31/2010, Yacktman Asset Management Co. owns 63 stocks with a total value of $6 billion. These are the details of the buys and sells.

Like Arnold Van Den Berg and Steven Romick, Yacktman is also heavily weighted in large cap high quality stocks. This may have hurt his performance in 2010, but as a long term value investor, his conviction will pay off.

Very interestingly, Yacktman bought into Cisco, a tech that value investors usually don’t touch. He commented in his latest shareholder letter: The technology sector typified the general investment environment last year, where more“exciting” stories generally performed better than more stable, established value. We think that will reverse sometime soon.”
