With this new service, GuruFocus users will be able to receive high quality, in-depth reports on the companies that they select, written by experienced and professional analysts.
This is how it works.
1. If you want to get in-dept analysis on a stock, you can request on GuruFocus’ new Value Research on Demand page. All requests are FREE.
2. Once received, GuruFocus will solicit the request among some of the best value analysts out there.
3. The analysts will do their homework on the stock requested by users and submit the research after they are ready
4. GuruFocus will review each submission strictly by following value investing principles in the areas of business quality, management capability, competition, valuation, etc.
5. Once accepted, GuruFocus will pay $50 to the analyst. (The analyst has opportunities to earn more, which will be explained in detail later).
6. Now the requestors will be able to read the analysis for FREE if they are Premium Member. If they are not, they can either Subscribe the Premium Membership or purchase the analysis for a small fee if they want to read the report immediately. Or they can wait up to 3 months to read the analysis for FREE.
7. All premium members and the buyer of the reports will have the opportunity to rate the analysis. The ratings will be used for future references by us.
In this way, investors will be able receive high quality research that are paid upfront by GuruFocus. Premium Members will get all the high quality value analysis for Free.
To Analysts (Deep Value Oriented Only):
If deep-value investing research is your passion, this is an opportunity for you to get paid for the investing research you do anyway. The potential earnings for each high quality research can be anywhere from a few hundred to even a few thousand dollars.
This is how it works:
1. The analysts can submit research on any stocks requested by users
2. All submissions will go through strict review process in multiple areas such business quality, management capability, competition, valuation, etc.
3. Once accepted, the author will be paid $50 per analysis.
4. The analysis will be available to all Premium Members immediately.
5. Only the introduction part of the analysis will be available to Non-Premium Members in the first 3 months. After 3 months the complete analysis is open to all members
6. If Non-Premium Members sign up GuruFous Premium Membership through this analysis, 20% of the earned Membership fee will be paid to the author.
7. If Non-Premium Members did not sign up the Premium Membership, but purchased the analysis, the authors of the analysis will receive 60% of the fees.
