In an interview with CNBC this morning, David Sokol spoke to the controversy surrounding his unexpected resignation from Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B). Sokol told reporters he resigned with the intent to invest his family’s money to build his own company and that he never knew whether he was next in Berkshire’s secret line of successors. In regard to his Lubrizol stock purchase, he said he shouldn't have recommended Lubrizol to Warren Buffett, but maintains he technically had no insider knowledge and did not do anything wrong.
