You may have noticed that GuruFocus has updated its financial charts and valuation charts lately. The purpose for the updates is to make the charts visible to popular Apple (AAPL) products iPad/iPhone.

As more and more users move to tablet computers, we have received suggestions from a number of users regarding to the visibility of GuruFocus financial charts on iPad/iPhone. Now the financial charts are ready on iPad and iPhone. They also work on other tablets computers. For systems that support Flash, the charts will be in flash format. Otherwise, the charts automatically switch to Javascript format, which will render on Apple (AAPL) products. The charts are slightly different on the two formats. We will continue to improve the charts so that they are more user friendly. In the meantime, if you have suggestions, please feel free to let us know.

We will use the financial charts of WalMart (WMT) as the example to demonstrate how the charts work.

Below is a screenshot of the top part of the financial page. The chart on the top right displays the revenue per share data and the trend line by default. The growth rate is calculated with least square regression and displayed.



As with all Flash charts, the legends of the charts are clickable and display and hide different series of the charts.

Similar to before, every row of the financial data is clickable to display the data in charts. A screen shot of the “Dividend Per Share” charts of WalMart is displayed below



We now display both annual data and quarterly data in charts when you click on the row.

Click on the data row again to close the chart.

We are also working on 10-year historical valuation charts. These charts should be ready very soon. We will also working on other charts that are pure Flash charts.
