3 Healthcare Stocks with Huge Institutional Buys

Institutional investors are different. They should have learned the professional handling of opportunities and risks. In addition, institutional investors are normally better informed about a company because they talked with management teams and have closer view on the stock. These are the reasons why we should note buys from institutional investors.

I screened stocks from the healthcare sector with the biggest institutional buys. In addition, I observed only companies with a dividend yield of more than 3% and a market capitalization of more than $10 billion (large-capitalized stocks). Here are my most promising results:

1. Sanofi-Aventis (SYN) is acting within the major drug manufacturing industry. The company has a market capitalization of $88.6 billion and generates revenues of $45.8 billion and a net income of $5.8 billion. It follows P/E ratio is 15.0 and forward P/E ratio 7.4, P/S 1.9 and P/B ratio 1.2. Dividend Yield: 5.6%. The beta ratio amounts to 0.90. Institutional investors increased positions within the past three month by 7.8%.

2. Novartis (NYSE:NVS) is acting within the major drug manufacturing industry. The company has a market capitalization of $127.7 billion, generates revenues in an amount of $56.6 billion and a net income of $9.9 billion. It follows P/E ratio is 13.2 and forward P/E ratio 9.6, P/S 2.3 and P/B ratio 2.0. Dividend Yield: 4.2%. The beta ratio amounts to 0.58. Institutional investors increased positions within the past three month by 6.7%.

3. GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK) is acting within the major drug manufacturing industry. The company has a market capitalization of $104.6 billion, generates revenues in an amount of $41.9 billion and a net income of $5.0 billion. It follows P/E ratio is 21.4 and forward P/E ratio 12.7, P/S 2.5 and P/B ratio 7.7. Dividend Yield: 5.3%. The beta ratio amounts to 0.62. Institutional investors increased positions within the past three month by 5.1%.

Take a closer look at the full table of 14 healthcare dividend stocks with big institutional transactions. The average P/E ratio (P/E ratio) amounts to 14.4 while the average forward P/E ratio is 11.0. The dividend yield has an average value of 4.7%. P/B ratio is 2.6 and P/S ratio 1.9. The operating margin amounts to 20.4%. Institutional investors own 49.5% of the companies and increased their positions by 3.8%.
