- Market climbs a wall of worry. Right now we have the Arab Spring, the nuclear crisis with Iran and the euro crisis. There are always issues like this and the market always eventually climbs.

- Don’t look at short-term fears and avoid acting.

- Thinks emerging markets over the long run will perform well; he is unwilling to make a prediction on 2012.

- Believes recession in Europe will be mild and that the euro will be held together.

- U.S. is very close to a bottom in the housing market; when that turns the American economy will perform extremely well.

- Likes American banks which are as cheap as they have been in a very long time.
