Crosstex Energy LP (XTEX, Financial)


Crosstex Energy, a mid-stream natural gas company, operates over 1,700 miles of pipeline, two processing plants and 49 natural gas treating plants. Crosstex Energy LP has a market cap of $900.78 million; its shares were traded at around $17.66 with and P/S ratio of 0.45. On April 19, the company increased its quarterly distribution 14% to $0.33 per unit. The distribution is payable May 15 to unitholders of record May 2. This amount is approximately a 14 percent increase over the first-quarter 2011 rate. The yield based on the new payout is 7.5%.


The Crosstex Energy companies, Crosstex Energy LP reported results for the fourth-quarter and full-year 2011. The Partnership posted a net loss of $1.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2011 compared with a net loss of $2.4 million in the fourth quarter of 2010.

The Travelers Companies Inc. reported net income of $806 million, or $2.02 per diluted share, for the quarter ended March 31, 2012, compared to $839 million, or $1.92 per diluted share in the prior year quarter. Operating income in the current quarter was $801 million, or $2.01 per diluted share, compared to $826 million, or $1.89 per diluted share, in the prior year quarter. Total revenues of $6.392 billion in the current quarter increased $114 million, or 2%, from the prior year quarter.
