Famous oil and energy market investor and billionaire T Boone Pickens was on CNBC to discuss his views on Chesapeake Energy (CHK) and its disclosure of its CEO loans against his stake in wells owned by his company. He also discussed oil and natural gas industry trends, oil trends and overall investing environment in the energy sector.

On CHK, he said that the CEO having a stake in wells is not a new thing and he backs the CEO. In the natural gas space he said he has investments in Sadridge Energy (SD). He also sounded skeptical on Delta's deal to buy ConocoPhillips' (COP) refinery.
