14 Of The Hottest Dividend Stocks Within The S&P 500

Attractive Dividend Stocks From The S&P 500 Researched By Dividend Yield - Stock, Capital, Investment. The S&P 500 is a major index and of huge importance for investors worldwide. Many of them allocate their funds on the weighting from the S&P 500 which was created by the rating agency Standard & Poors. In order to find the hottest stocks from the index, I made a screen of dividend stocks with a P/S and P/B ratio of less than one. In order to get the cheapest results, I selected only those companies with a P/E below 10. Fourteen stocks remained of which two are high yields.

Here are my favorite stocks:

Metlife (MET) has a market capitalization of $35.25 billion. The company employs 67,000 people, generates revenue of $70,262.00 million and has a net income of $6,951.00 million. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $20,437.00 million. The EBITDA margin is 29.09 percent (operating margin 14.27 percent and net profit margin 9.89 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 7.66 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 102.49 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 12.35 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $6.30. Last fiscal year, the company paid $0.74 in form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 5.27, P/S ratio 0.48 and P/B ratio 0.56. Dividend Yield: 2.33 percent. The beta ratio is 1.95.

WellPoint (WLP) has a market capitalization of $17.90 billion. The company employs 37,700 people, generates revenue of $60,710.70 million and has a net income of $2,646.70 million. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $4,723.30 million. The EBITDA margin is 7.78 percent (operating margin 6.52 percent and net profit margin 4.36 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 18.83 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 42.06 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 11.24 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $7.32. Last fiscal year, the company paid $1.00 in form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 7.51, P/S ratio 0.28 and P/B ratio 0.77. Dividend Yield: 2.17 percent. The beta ratio is 0.92.

DeVry (DV) has a market capitalization of $1.20 billion. The company employs 10,262 people, generates revenue of $2,182.37 million and has a net income of $330.83 million. The firm’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounts to $558.75 million. The EBITDA margin is 25.60 percent (operating margin 22.64 percent and net profit margin 15.16 percent).

Financial Analysis: The total debt represents 0.00 percent of the company’s assets and the total debt in relation to the equity amounts to 0.00 percent. Due to the financial situation, a return on equity of 25.72 percent was realized. Twelve trailing months earnings per share reached a value of $3.03. Last fiscal year, the company paid $0.24 in form of dividends to shareholders.

Market Valuation: Here are the price ratios of the company: The P/E ratio is 6.05, P/S ratio 0.56 and P/B ratio 0.92. Dividend Yield: 1.61 percent. The beta ratio is 0.58.
