Hedge fund John Paulson has sold a lot more stocks than he bought during the second quarter. He has suffered severe loss with his funds since last year as his bet on the full economic recovery did not fare well. The decline of gold prices did not help either.

But apparently Paulson is still confident with gold. Gold ETF (GLD, Financial) was his largest purchase in the second quarter, followed by HCA Inc., a non-governmental hospital in the U.S. He also bought Equinix, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Quest Software, Cooper Industries etc. He sold positions in Anadarko Petroleum, Delphi Automotive, Medco Health, El Paso, Capital One, Baxter International etc.

As of 06/30/2012, Paulson & Co. owns 69 stocks with a total value of $12 billion. These are the details of the buys and sells.
