Brown sees massive consolidation in the Banking industry because of the huge costs required to meet current regulatory requirements. The smaller entities simply can’t afford to build out a compliance report large enough to understand and satisfy the new requirements.
This may present an investment opportunity in the smaller regional banks.
Not surprisingly, Brown finds banking executives are strongly in favor of Romney winning the upcoming election on hopes of changes to current unreasonable regulatory requirements.
