General Growth Properties Inc (GGP): CFO, Director Bernard Freibaum Bought 15,000 Shares; Chief Investment Officer Joel Bayer Bought 10,000 Shares

General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP), the second major mall operator of the U.S., reported the completion of a $1.4 billion mortgage financing as of the third quarter. CFO, Director Bernard Freibaum explained that the total $2.3 billion completed financings and commitments will fund company expansion and progress for the next year.

Guru Ron Baron and Ruane Cunniff kept their shares at 504,500 and 6,450 respectively. Guru Chris Davis decreased his holdings of GGP by 69.17% to 3,847,526 shares, and guru George Soros sold out his holdings.

CFO, Director Bernard Freibaum bought a total of 239,000 shares since August between $41.27 and $49.37. Since November, Director Adam S. Metz bought 19,000 shares between $41.55 and $45.09. And finally, Chief Investment Officer Joel Bayer bought 10,000 shares on 12/20 at $41.

Huge sells were made by Chief, Corporate Development Jean Schlemmer and President & COO, Director Robert A. Michaels between $40.36 and $41.90 on 12/18. Schlemmer sold 75,000 shares and Michaels sold 131,900 shares.

General Growth Properties Inc has a market cap of $10.34 billion; the company shares were traded at around $41.25 with P/E ratio of 34.69 and P/S ratio of 3.04. The dividend yield of General Growth Properties Inc stocks is 4.8%.

The Macerich Company (MAC): Chairman of the Board, Director Mace Siegel Bought 5,000 Shares

The Macerich Company operates as a commercial real estate investment trust. The mall operator is counting on the after Christmas shopping to meet the end of the year quota on sales. Profits from increased property occupancy and property sales helped the company post a 17% increase in funds from operation to $111 million or $1.15.

Guru Chris Davis upped his MAC shares by 10.22% to 2,009,191.

Chairman of the Board, Director Mace Siegel bought 21,000 shares between $70.50 and $80, since November. And, Vice Chairman of the Board, Director Dana K. Anderson bought 1,500 shares of MAC stock on 12/18 at $72.37. Insider sells were made by Director Fred S. Hubbell, who sold 5,000 shares, EVP, Real Estate Lawrence E. Sidwell, who sold 4,433 shares, and Director Dr. William P. Sexton, who sold 4,000 shares between $80.15 and $85.17.

The Macerich Company has a market cap of $5.4 billion; its shares were traded at around $73.86 with P/E ratio of 32.41 and P/S ratio of 5.54. The dividend yield of The Macerich Company stocks is 4.3%.

CBL & Associates Properties Inc. (CBL): Director Winston W. Walker Bought 12,000 Shares

CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (CBL), a retail and office real estate investment trust (REIT), plans buy a group of retail and office buildings valued at $540.8 million, with a $459.1 million in loans. The company predicted to generate $0.03 toward the funds from operation for the first year.

Guru Chris Davis, who owns 2,676,614 shares, had increased his CBL holding by 10.21% from the previous quarter.

Director Winston W. Walker bought a total of 19,000 shares as of late-November between $24.46 and $27.40. Also, Sr. VP of Finance Farzana K. Mitchell bought a total of 7,817 shares between $25.20 and $27.50 in December.  

CBL & Associates Properties Inc. has a market cap of $1.66 billion; its shares were traded at around $24.84 with P/E ratio of 21.59 and P/S ratio of 1.57. The dividend yield of CBL & Associates Properties Inc. stocks is 8.8%.
