Emerging market Guru and well-known fund manager of Templeton Emerging Market Fund discusses key events in emerging markets in 2012 and also provides his perspective on investment opportunities in emerging markets in 2013.

-- Cannot at look emerging markets in isolation. Whatever happened in the U.S. and Europe had a big impact on emerging markets. The situation in Europe was quite serious.
-- In 2013: High inflation combined with high unemployment in some of the emerging markets are area of concern.
-- "The world is big... but people are essentially not that different. By getting insight into the motivations of managements, of owners, of companies, we can then join with them and grow together."
