Barbara Marcin of Mario Gabelli's GAMCO funds was on Bloomberg to discuss her outlook for the U.S. markets based on current valuations. She thinks that markets are fairly valued and there is less room for growth.
-- Markets are fairly valued; there is some "mediocre value" in markets.
-- While there are number of positive things, we are sitting at the peak of earnings and with expected GDP growth of only 2%, it may be very hard to grow earnings much further.
-- Some point in time we will get the normal interest rates and that will further act as a headwind to the rise in the value of stocks.
