Case-Shiller Index co-author Robert Shiller spoke with FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Melissa Francis about his thoughts surrounding the rise of housing numbers today. Shiller said that he believes “the housing market has more momentum than the stock market” and it will “continue to go up in the short run.” Excerpts from the interview are below:

On the momentum of the housing market:
“The housing market has more momentum than the stock market, so I expect it to continue to go up in the short run. The longer run is always unclear. It’s a speculative market and I’m not joining the crowd who is saying that this is a major turning point. We don’t know that yet.”
