Still sporting the moustache after all these years, Michael Steinhardt was on CNBC today in a rare television appearance.

Steinhardt thinks it is quite a marvel that the stock market is so high in relation to the state of the world today. He thinks there is good reason to be concerned about how much debt the U.S. is carrying.

His favorite stock idea today is Genie Energy (GNE, Financial) which he is chairman of.
