Armour Residential Reports Insider Buys

Three insiders in Armour Residential REIT Inc. (ARR) made transactions on March 15. The two CEOs and a director bought a total of 31,300 shares of the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Scott Ulm the co-CEO, CIO, and co-vice chairman of Armour added 5,000 shares at $6.16 each. This transaction cost him $30,800 and he now holds 115,001 shares of Armour. The price per share has increased 3.25% since his buy.

Prior to this insider buy, Ulm bought 5,000 shares on Nov. 15, 2012 which has since seen an increase of 2.58% in price per share.

Director John Hollihan added 16,300 shares at $6.18 each for a total transaction amount of $100,734. The price per share has increased 2.91% since this buy. Hollihan now holds on to 34,721 shares of Armour.

Jeffrey Zimmer, the president, co-CEO and co-vice chairman added 10,000 shares on March 15. Each share traded for $6.17 and Zimmer spent $61,700 on this transaction. Zimmer now holds 45,927 shares in Armour.

Prior to his most recent buy Zimmer added 5,000 shares on Nov. 15, 2012. Since that transaction the trade price has increased 9.28%.



Armour Residential currently has no debt and is close to a 10-year low price of $6.25.

Armour Residential is an investment company based out of Vero Beach, Fla. Armour primarily invests in hybrid adjustable rate, adjustable rate and fixed rate residential mortgage backed securities issued or guaranteed by a U.S. government-chartered entity. Armour has a market cap of $1.97 billion.

With its shares down 0.16% this afternoon, Armour Residential trades at $6.36.
