Robert Shiller is a professor at Yale University and co-creator of the S&P/Case-Shiller home-price index. He was on Bloomberg to talk about the U.S. housing market and the nation’s economy.
Shiller's current observations:
- There has been no clear turning point in the economy as far as he can see.
- Shiller still sees that we are in a general 13-year economic downtrend.
- He thinks that the stock market could be running well ahead of itself.
- Shiller has his own inflation-adjusted P/E ratio for the stock market which suggest it is overvalued.
