Ron Olson has been Warren's main legal advisor throughout his entire career. He is also a long time Berkshire Hathaway Director and Partner at the law firm Charlie Munger founded.

Olson who is based in California thinks the housing recovery is "real" in his state. He thinks there is fundamental strength behind the improvements in both housing and the California economy.

When asked about Buffett's successor Olson notes that Berkshire "pays for performance". The next CEO is going to have a chance to make a great living if performance dictates it. The Berkshire Board has Buffett's input on his successor's pay structure and Olson thinks they are very prepared for when the time comes.
