Bill Gross - Bernanke Is Deathly Afraid of Deflation

Gross thinks Bernanke's comment about a need for 7% unemployment before ending the government bond buying program likely means that it will be status quo through early 2014.

He also notes that if inflation doesn't rise to 2% the Fed easy-money policy could continue longer than expected.

Gross thinks that the market has misinterpreted Bernanke's comments because it has missed the point that Bernanke won't be tapering without inflation close to 2%.

Gross also thinks that Bernanke is deathly afraid of deflation and that he will not make the mistake of ending the easing policy too early.
