Billionaires Buy InterOil, More on 52-week Low

Billionaire investors hold today’s featured stocks including the Yukon Territory’s InterOil Corporation (IOC), and Chile’s beer and beverage company Embotelladora Andina SA (AKO.A), (AKO.B).  All three stocks are at or near a 52-week low, as revealed by the GuruFocus special feature 52-week low screener.   

InterOil Corporation (IOC)

The IOC share price is around $51.45, trading close to a 52-week low of $50.00.

Down 13% over 12 months, InterOil Corporation has a market cap of $2.52 billion; its shares were traded with a P/E ratio of 1607.80 and P/B ratio of 3.30.  The company does not pay a dividend.

InterOil Corporation is a Yukon Territory corporation. The company, together with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas properties in Papua New Guinea and its surrounding region.  Company operations are organized into four business segments: Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and Corporate.

InterOil’s upstream segment explores and appraises potential oil and natural gas structures in Papua New Guinea with a view to commercializing discoveries. The midstream segment produces refined petroleum products at Napa Napa in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea for the domestic market and for the spot export. It is also developing an onshore LNG processing facility there. The downstream segment markets and distributes refined products domestically in Papua New Guinea on a wholesale and retail basis.  The corporate segment provides support to the other segments by engaging in business development and improvement activities and providing general and administrative services and management. The corporate segment also manages InterOil’s shipping business which operates two vessels transporting petroleum products. The company sells Jet A-1 fuel, diesel, gasoline and small parcels of LSWR to domestic distributors in Papua New Guinea.

Incorporated in 1946 in Chile, Embotelladora Andina SA, through its subsidiaries, produces, markets, and distributes Coca-Cola soft drinks in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.  The company also offers fruit juices, fruit-flavored beverages, mineral and purified water, flavored waters and soft drink formats. Additionally, the company makes and sells PET bottles. Embotelladora Andina SA also distributes beer brands including Amstel, Bavaria, Birra Moretti, Dos Equis (XX), Edelweiss, Heineken, Kaiser, Murphy´s, Sol, and Xingu in Brazil, and distributes beer in the south of Argentina, and spirits in the south of Chile. Embotelladora Andina SA is based in Santiago, Chile.
