Mark Mobius Discusses Whether Investors Should Be Worried About Rising Debt Levels in China

There has been a lot of noise about high debt levels in China being something global investors should worry about.

Mobius does think that the nonperforming loan data coming out of China's banks is questionable, but he isn't concerned about potential fall out because these same banks have raised an enormous amount of capital over the past year.

While Mobius is investing in China he is avoiding the financial sector because of concerns over nonperforming loans.  

His favorite place to invest in China is in the consumer area, especially garment retailers and luxury retailers with exposure to China.
