Just the way some people have their own thing that separates them from the crowd, Apple (AAPL) also has something that makes it one in a million. Most people don’t know what they actually want until that thing is presented in front of them. The ability to create demand for things which aren’t even present today, by simply showing and making the consumers realize what they want, isn’t an easy task. But Apple is phenomenal when it comes to this exact thing.
Apple’s Next Big Piece of Technology
Last year when the Cupertino company introduced the finger print sensor in the iPhone 5S, all the Apple fans went crazy and the brilliant sales numbers of the device stand as the proof of its popularity. However, this wasn’t the first time the company gave something delightful to its users and surely wasn’t the last time either. The company has under its sleeve another piece of innovation that will set the stage on fire yet again. What will you say if I tell you that Apple is currently working on a technology that will make iPhones transparent? That’s right! See-through iPhones!
How Does this Work? Is It Magic?
Well, the experience is going to be magical. Apart from that there is no magic in what Apple’s doing. The iPhone maker has filed a patent in the U.S. that would make phones go transparent. The technology being used would transform any app’s background by streaming live video footage using the phone’s rear camera and thus allowing the users to be able to see through the device while texting or surfing the net or enjoying their favorite songs.
What this epic innovator realized was that putting away the smartphone is no longer an alternative for the present day gadget-addicted customers. The users will have the option of switching on this feature at will using an in-app button that will be made available in web browsers, messages and e-book readers.
Taking reference from the very popular phrase – Imitation is the greatestform of flattery – one can say the Korean phone giant Samsung (SSNLF) is Apple’s biggest fan. Time and again Samsung has copied successful ideas from Apple, such as Apple’s Healthbook and Samsung’s S-Health, Apple Siri and Samsung S-Voice, Apple’s finger print reader and Samsung’s rumored touch screens with finger print sensors and many more. Looking at the past trend, there is no doubt that Samsung will also attempt to bring this technology to its own devices also. However, the fact that Apple has already patented this technology should make Samsung think twice about making a move.
This innovation might not be a world-changing one, but several of this type of innovations add up to provide the premium user experience that the company offers to its users through its gadgets. It’s not yet clear how soon Apple plans to incorporate this feature in its devices and there is no confirmation also if this will be forming a part of the much awaited iOS 8 or not. But, let’s keep our fingers crossed and wait till September when the company will launch its latest operating system and let’s hope the transparent screen forms a part of it.
