Medtox Scientific Inc. (MTOX): President, CEO, Chairman, Director Richard J. Braun Bought 3,800 Shares

MEDTOX Scientific, Inc. (MTOX) provides forensic and clinical laboratory services and manufacturers diagnostic devices. The company’s first quarter profits sailed flat at $1.6 million or $0.18 per share compared to first quarter of 2007, on a 4% sales increase to $15.5 million. Analysts said that the company has done well in the current economy.

President CEO and Director Richard J. Braun bought 3,800 shares on 4/21/08 at $14.27. In February, CEO Braun sold a total of 106,542 shares at $15.85.

Other insider transactions were made by Director Robert A. Rudell, who bought a total of 3,582 shares around $15.40 and VP & CFO CFO Kevin J. Wiersma, who sold 16,869 shares at $15.98.

Medtox Scientific Inc. has a market cap of $137.09 million; its shares were traded at around $16.08 with a P/E ratio of 21.38 and P/S ratio of 1.67.

Provident Bankshares Corp. (PBKS): Chairman and CEO, Director Gary N. Geisel Bought 4,629 Shares

Provident Bankshares Corporation (PBKS) reported $18 million loss on bad loans for the first quarter, comparing to $16 million gain in 2007. The holding company for Provident Bank plans to raise $115 million from $65 million public share offering and $50 million in credit. Provident Bankshares Corp. cut the 2008 earnings down to $0.44 a share from $1.25 a share in 2007.

Crowley Jr., who bought 1,500 shares.

Provident Bankshares Corp. has a market cap of $366.23 million; its shares were traded at around $12.29 with P/S ratio of 1.62. The dividend yield of Provident Bankshares Corp. stocks is 12.1%.

Escalade Inc. (ESCA): President & CEO Robert J. Keller Bought 5,460 Shares

Escalade, Incorporated (ESCA), sporting goods and office product manufacturer, hit a loss $800,000 for the first quarter compared to a profit of $1.1 million a year ago. First quarter sales plunged 14% in sporting goods and 11% in office goods. The company’s biggest client Sears faced a 60% revenue decline. Under the slow economy, retailers are cutting inventories and holding off new orders.

President & CEO Robert J. Keller bought 5,460 shares of ESCA stock on 4/16/08 at $8.42. As of February, CEO Keller has purchased a total of 8,500 shares at $8.25 to $8.96 and VP/CFO Terry Frandsen sold 8,863 shares at $9.

Escalade Inc. has a market cap of $102.21 million; its shares were traded at around $8.06 with a P/E ratio of 14.14 and P/S ratio of 0.56. The dividend yield of Escalade Inc. stocks is 3%.

Repros Therapeutics Inc. (RPRX): President and CEO, Director Joseph Podolski Bought 3,000 Shares

Repros Therapeutics, Inc. (RPRX), a development stage biopharmaceutical company, focuses on the development of oral small molecule drugs to treat various disorders. For 2007, Repros Therapeutics narrowed their loss to $13.7 million compared to $14.195 million.

President and CEO, Director of Repros Therapeutics Inc. Joseph Podolski bought 3,000 shares during the past week at $8.73. As of December CEO Podolski has purchased a total of 5,000 shares between $8.86 and $9.36. Since December, other insider buys were made at $8.51 and $9.37: 10% Owner Capital, Ltd. Efficacy bought a total of 333,100 shares; Director Jeffrey R. Harder bought 3,000 shares; and VP & CFO, Director Louis Ploth Jr. bought 2,500 shares.

Repros Therapeutics Inc. has a market cap of $114.07 million; its shares were traded at around $9.04.

Gray Television Inc. (GTN): Chairman & CEO, Director J. Mack Robinson Bought 3,500 Shares

Gray Television, Inc. (GTN) sets their quarterly dividend at $0.03 per share. The television broadcaster posted an annual net loss of $24.8 million compared to a gain of $8.5 million from 2006 on an 81% political ad sales decline to $7.8 million.

John Keeley currently owns 3,030,000 shares as last year.

Chairman & CEO, Director J. Mack Robinson bought 3,500 shares of GTN stock on 4/18/08 at $5.95. Since November, CEO J. Mack Robinson bought 42,300 shares Director Harriett J. Robinson bought 37,600 shares, and Director Robert S. Prather Jr bought 11,500 shares between $5.95 and $8.65.
