The following information is a highlight of the real-time guru activity we saw this week. To view more information on these gurus, check out their guru portfolios. The “Real Time Picks” reports the stock purchases and sells that Gurus have made within the prior two weeks. If a Guru makes a purchase or sell of a company in which they own a greater-than 5% stake, SEC regulations require them to report their transaction within two days. It was a quiet week in guru trades but we did see a couple of trades coming from Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio) and Edward Lampert (Trades, Portfolio).

Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio)

Over the past week GuruFocus real time picks has reported two reductions for Mario Gabelli (Trades, Portfolio). The guru made minor reductions to his holdings in Ryman Hospitality Properties (RHP) and Ampco-Pittsburgh (AP).

The guru reduced his holdings in Ryman Hospitality Properties by -0.45% on June 17. The guru sold a total of 22,556 shares of the company’s stock at an average price of $46.77 per share. Since his sell the price per share is up about 2% to $47.45 per share. Gabelli also made a slight reduction of Ampco-Pittsburgh on June 17, cutting his holdings -0.52%. The guru sold a minor 6,133 shares of the company’s stock. He sold these shares near the average daily price of $23.12 per share, and since then the price per share has increased approximately 2% to $23.52 per share. Edward Lampert (Trades, Portfolio)

Over the past week the GuruFocus real time picks reported Edward Lampert (Trades, Portfolio) making two increases to his holdings in the Sears companies on June 16. Lampert holds over 50% of his portfolio in these two holdings.

The guru upped his holdings in Sears Holdings (SHLD) 2.36% by purchasing 623,462 shares of the company’s stock. The guru bought these shares near the average daily price of $39.20, and since then the price per share is trading up about 4% to $40.98 per share. The guru also increased his holdings in Sears Hometown & Outlet Stores (SHOS). The guru upped his holdings 2.38% by purchasing 142,353 shares of the company’s stock. Since his increase the price per share has gone up approximately 4% to about $21.60 per share. Lampert now owns 6,135,063 shares of the company’s stock, representing 26.46% of the company’s shares outstanding.
