Triple-S Management Corporation (GTS), is a leading insurance holding company in Puerto Rico. The company offers a wide range of insurance products and services throughout Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1959, as has grown to become the largest medical insurance provider in Puerto Rico. The company was founded in 1959 by a group of physicians and dentists who organized a free-choice health plan for people in Puerto Rico. Triple-S management grew steadily of the over about two decades unit 1979 when its was given a income tax exemption which lead to rapid growth over the course of 20 years until its income tax exemption was terminated in 2002.
