With so much advancement in technology, every company is trying to get ahead of the other in this fierce battle. Google Inc. (GOOG, Financial), one of the most prolific innovators of our times, is not one to be left behind. Just two years back, Google launched the Google ChromeBook Pixel – a ChromeBook that certainly offered greater ease of use, and now it is back with more improvements and enhanced features on the same.

Google chrome book pixel

Google ChromeBook Pixel is a carefully designed laptop that caters to the needs of web surfers. With excellent software, hardware combination and sleek design, it has managed to grasp the attention of many people in a short span of time. With a glass trackpad, high resolution screen and aluminum body, Google has ensured that the ChromeBook inspires awe. The much wider camera lens offers clearer image and clarity and the technical aspects of the Google ChromeBook Pixel are also amazing.

Intel core i5 is used for better and faster processing of the system and RAM is of around 8 GB, with a secondary storage drive of 32 GB enough to handle ample amount of activity on the laptop. While taking into consideration user requests for increasing battery life, Google has fully responded with a new laptop update. Now users can enjoy battery life of 12 hours, which is quite remarkable. Even with only 15% of charge, users would no longer have to plug in the device for charging because the ChromeBook would still be able to continue working for an additional 2 hours. The installation of C type USB ports on both sides makes it easier to charge the laptop. Multi device charging is also possible because of type C ports, and one can easily connect mobiles devices to the ChromeBook too. Data can be displayed and transferred over at much faster rates now. A “Ludicrous Speed” version project is also in the pipeline to provide smoother and faster processing. The ChromeBook Pixel is priced at $999 and has already hit the U.S. markets last week.

Chrome book vs. apple Macbook and Dell XPS 13

Where Google has launched the updated version of its ChromeBook, Apple (AAPL, Financial) has made sure not to give away the entire market share to its competitors. The arrival of Apple's new MacBook is in the news everywhere. In fact, this time Apple has upped the premium factor of its flagship laptop device, offering it in decadent gold, silver and metallic bodies, with one type C USB port. The price is bit high hovering around $1,299, but when it comes to Apple the strategy is always about making price competent with the brand image. The 12 inch retina display, along with LED lit keyboard, makes it a real treat for all Apple users. The thickness of the device is just around 13.1 mm and weighs approximately for just 2 pounds. This appliance will be put on sale from April 10. Dell's (DELL) XPS 13 is also making great progress in the field. The aluminum body of the device has a 13.3 inch display and weighs around 3 pounds. It is razor thin having 6 to 18 mm of sleek body. Its price is around $800.

Concluding thoughts

With such big and renowned firms competing fiercely to take the lead in the laptop world, it is certainly getting more difficult for consumers to choose the best one. Since each company offers excellent features for the users, presently the battle among the rivals mainly lies in their ability to offer the competitive advantage. The users who demand better processing and don't care much about design might choose Dell and Google, while those who want the full package inlcuding great technical specifications and cutting edge designs, will probably opt for Apple.
