Paul Singer Adds CTXS To His Portfolio

Paul Singer (Trades, Portfolio) of Elliot Management added Citrix Systems Inc (CTXS, Financial) to his portfolio on June 1. Singer's portfolio consists of 60 stocks, valued at $8.08 billion and has an 8% quarter-over-quarter turnover.

The most heavily weighted sector in Singer's portfolio is technology, which consists of 31.7% of his portfolio. The second most heavily weighted sector is energy, which makes up 21.2% of the portfolio and the third is ETF, options, preferred, which is 15.4% of the portfolio.

Citrix Systems consists of 2.94% of Singer's portfolio after purchasing 3,612,000 shares at an average price of $65.77 a share.

Cittrix Systems creates solutions to help IT and service providers to build, manage and secure virtual and mobile workspaces that deliver apps, desktops, data and services all over to any device over any network or Cloud. The company was incorporated in 1989.

Last Tuesday, Merrill Lynch published a research note that stated that Citrix Systems Inc is looking at opportunities to possibly be sold off to private equity firms. The firm gives the company a Buy rating with an $82 target price and believes a higher price potential exists if a buyer plans to sell off different divisions later.

CTXS is currently trading at $72.85 a share and its eps as of March 2015 was $1.36. Therefore, its P/E ratio is 53.41, which is close to its 10-year high of 55.16 –Â a warning sign for investors.

Revenue per share for the trailing 12 months as of March 2015 was $19.07, and its growth rate for the year was 19.30%. Over the past three years, its growth rate was 16.60% a year. The company has shown predictable revenue and earnings growth, which is a good sign for investors.
