Take the Plunge into Large Growth

Maybe more telling than the growth managers' enthusiasm is the fact that a number of value managers appeared to have some serious growth envy. Brian Rogers of T. Rowe Price Equity Income (Nasdaq:PRFDX - News) was probably only half joking when he said he wished he were a growth investor.


"I'm tilting to growth because I'm a value manager who thinks growth offers good relative value." Naturally Rogers isn't buying any extreme growth stocks like eBay. Rather, he likes Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO - News), Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD - News), and Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT - News).
