Some correspondence between Bill Ackman (Trades, Portfolio), a major Valeant (VRX, Financial) shareholder, Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) and Charlie Munger (Trades, Portfolio) surfaced this week in a slew of documents the U.S. Senate committee investigating drug price gouging has released.

In the email (below), Ackman compares Valeant to Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) in an effort to sway Munger to meet with him and CEO Michael Pearson to learn why the company isn't so bad. Munger has said Valeant is "ITT and Harold Geneen come back to life, only the guy is worse this time,” and called it "deeply immoral" and "a sewer."

Farther below is the email to Buffett where Ackman asks for Munger's email address, also inviting Buffett to the proposed meeting, which he indirectly declined.

Apparently, Munger had nothing to add.
