U.S. market indexes were mixed on Wednesday. For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 20775.60 for a gain of 32.60 points or 0.16%. The S&P 500 closed at 2362.82 for a loss of -2.56 points or -0.11%. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 5860.63 for a loss of -5.32 points or -0.09 %. The VIX Volatility Index was higher for the day at 11.74 for a gain of 0.17 points or 1.47%.
