As discussed in a previous article, GuruFocus launched a new, user-friendly home page in February. The page contains two useful features: “Individual Portfolio Tracker” and the “Value Screens Tracker.” The former allows you to view snapshots of each of your portfolios and view alerts. If you scroll down to the “Value Screens” section, you will notice green and red icons on each of the tabs. These numbers track changes in the value screener record.

Individual Portfolio Tracker

When you access the new home page, you can view snapshots of your individual portfolios on the left. Each portfolio contains two tabs: “Overview” and “Alert.” The former tab contains information on the stocks in your portfolio while the latter tab lists the active alerts for the stocks. To view the full details on a particular portfolio, you can click on the “View/Edit Portfolio” link for the desired portfolio. Figure 1 shows a sample screen shot of the “Individual Portfolio Tracker,” which contains some of my strong stocks I discussed in an article on seven stocks for 2017: Allegiant Travel Co. (ALGT, Financial), Biogen Inc. (BIIB, Financial) and Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO, Financial). As of March 3, those three companies have perfect GuruFocus business predictability ranks of five stars.

Note the red 3 next to the “Alert” tab in Figure 1. This indicates there are currently three active alerts for my “Strong Stocks 2017” portfolio. For more information on how to track portfolio performance and set email alerts within the My Portfolios feature, please consult the My Portfolios user manual.

Value Screens Tracker

The new “Value Screens Tracker” displays a snapshot for each of our most popular value screeners, including the Ben Graham Net-Net, Buffett-Munger and Undervalued Predictable Screeners. For each screener, green numbers indicate the number of new stocks while red numbers indicate the number of stocks that are cut. Figures 2 and 3 show how the “Value Screens Tracker” works.

Note the colored bars as you click the value screener tabs. A green bar indicates that the company is a new add to the screener list while a red bar indicates that the company has been removed from the screener list. For example, Figure 3 shows that companies like Infosys Ltd. (INFY, Financial) and Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM, Financial) have been removed from the Historical Low Price-Sales Screener. The Value Screener Tracker updates the record as company stock prices fluctuate. Table 1 shows the value screener record as of March 3.

Screener Name USA Canada UK / Ireland Europe Asia Oceania Latin America Africa
Ben Graham Net-Net 163 70 48 210 593 26 5 6

You can click on the “View Screener” link to view the full list for the selected value screener. Unlike other sections of the new home page, which only have four minibuttons, the Value Screens section has a fifth minibutton that allows you to control which value screeners to display. For example, you can view just the screens that identify good opportunities from predictable companies: Undervalued Predictable, Buffett-Munger and the two Historical Low valuation screens. Figure 4 shows the Settings pop-up window and Figure 5 shows a sample Value Screens Tracker with tabs for the four “predictable companies” screens.
