Back in 2004 to 2005 period, Chico’s FAS’s business was on fires. It ranked 26 and 51 for 2004 and 2005 respectively as one of the Fortune’s “Fastest Growing Companies”. Revenue and earning was growing at a fast pace until after 2006.
It was a Wall Street darling too. In the early 2006, its stock price climbed as high as $48. It has been down hill since them. It reached a low of less than $2 per share in November of 2008. That is when the insiders started the buying spree.
Today CHS is traded $6.76 per share, up 42 cents. Chico’s FAS is still at the low points of evaluation, but less so than back in November, when the CFO started to buy. All the insiders purchased the stock recently have made handsome profit from their trades.
