U.S. market indexes were mixed on Thursday. For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 21397.29 for a loss of -12.74 points or -0.06%. The S&P 500 closed at 2434.50 for a loss of -1.11 points or -0.05%. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6236.69 for a gain of 2.73 points or 0.04%. The VIX Volatility Index was lower for the day at 10.48 for a loss of -0.27 points or -2.51%.
