Intel to Pay Quarterly Dividend of 27 Cents

Company reports forward dividend yield of 2.93%

Intel Corp. (INTC, Financial) has announced a quarterly dividend of 27.25 cents. The dividend is payable on Dec. 1 with an ex-dividend date of Nov. 6.

Intel has held the dividend at 27.25 for three quarters. It last increased the dividend in May 2017 to its current rate after five quarters at 26 cents. It is reporting a one-year dividend growth rate of 8.33% and a five-year dividend growth rate of 5.86%.

The stock is currently trading at $37.16 with a forward dividend yield of 2.93%. Year to date, it has a return of 2.45%. For the one-year period, it is down -0.08%. For the three-year period, it has gained 6.72% and is up 60.70% for the five-year period.

In its most recent second-quarter earnings released on July 27, the company reported revenue of $14.76 billion and earnings per share of 72 cents. Revenue of $14.76 billion was up 9.1% from the comparable quarter and contributed to revenue of $29.56 billion for the first half of the year. Revenue for the year is now up 9%.

Earnings per share of 72 cents for the quarter increased 22% from the comparable quarter. Second-quarter earnings per share contributed to full-year earnings per share of $1.38, which is an increase of 22% for the year.

In the first half of the year, client computing was the company’s main revenue driver with 55% of revenue at $16.2 billion. The non-volatile memory solutions group is leading revenue growth with a revenue increase of 57% followed by the internet of things group, which is reporting an 18% increase in revenue

Client computing is also the product group leader in operating income with $6.1 billion, an increase of 60% from 2016.

In recent news, on Sept. 24, Intel released its newest processors, the 8th Gen Intel Core. The processors range from Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i7. Intel reports they offer a new level of faster, easier and more immersive experiences.

Currently, Intel is reporting 4.7 billion shares outstanding with a market cap of $174.17 billion. Institutional investors own approximately 40% of the shares outstanding. Its top institutional shareholder is Vanguard Group, which owns approximately 6.6% of the outstanding shares.
