GuruFocus runs a contest every quarter wherein people guess the stocks they think Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio) bought.

The third-quarter contest begins today. To participate, pick THREE securities you think he rounded up in the three months from June 30 to Sept. 30 and type them into the “comments” section below this article. Hit “post comment.”

Yes, the contest does include stocks that his two portfolio managers, Ted Weschler and Todd Combs, may also have purchased.

Those who guess correctly will win a signed copy of GuruFocus founder Charlie Tian’s new, highly rated book, “Invest Like a Guru.”

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, Financial)(BRK.B, Financial) will release Buffett’s portfolio of second-quarter buys and sells on or around Aug. 15. We’ll announce the winner shortly after that and send them an informatory email.

Last quarter, he or Weschler or Combs bought two stocks: Synchrony Financial (SYF, Financial) and STORE Capital Corp. (STOR, Financial). They also increased holdings of: Bank of New York Mellon (BK, Financial), Liberty Sirius (LSXMA, Financial), Liberty Sirius (LSXMK, Financial) and General Motors (GM, Financial).

Don’t forget to add your guesses in the comments.

Good luck!
